(a) 50 µg aliquots of purified fraction, were assayed at pH 6.0 at 37ºC for 2 hrs. Synthetic substrates YVAD-AMC, FR-AMC and RR-AMC were used at 50 µM. Enzyme activity was expressed as picomoles of AMC min^-1µg^-1. Means of five assays are presented, bars represent standard deviations.
(b) pH effects on H. contortus recombinant CP protease activity. Protease activities were assayed at pH 2.0-9.0 with FR-AMC, RR-AMC, and YVAD-AMC. Means of assays are shown.
