a. Over expression of the beta polypeptide in E. coli DLT101 (pBluescript II-B). Lane C is 5 µl of the total protein extracted from E. coli DLT101. Lane 1, 2, 3, and 4 contain 5 µl, 10 µl, 15 µl, and 20 µl of total protein extracted from E. coli DLT101 (pBluescript II-B). Lane M is the wide range molecular weight marker.

b. Immunoblot of total proteins were isolated from fruit tissues of transformed plant 1, 3, 5, and 6 (indicated as lane 1, 3, 5, and 6). Lane C was total proteins from fruit tissues of a non-transformed plant; lane M was the isolated beta polypeptide as a positive control.
