After incubation at 37ºC for 30 min, the remaining activities were determined by the method described in the text. The buffers (0.1 M) used were: acetate buffer (pH 3.5-6.0) (l), potassium phosphate buffer (pH 6.0-7.5) (u), Tris-HCl buffer (pH 7.5-9.0) (p), and glycine-NaOH buffer (pH 9.0-10.0) (n).
