Eight clementine cultivars were compared. The aim of this study was to determine the adaptation of new cultivars to agronomic and climatic conditions of Southern Italy. The field trial was carried out in province of Taranto, in Apulia. The fruits were picked at the beginning of the December month. The morphological and qualitative characteristics were measured in laboratory. Significant differences among cultivars were observed in the both determined characteristics. The "Grosso Puglia" and "Nules" showed the highest fruit dimension. The "Grosso Puglia" and "Oroval" cultivars presented the highest fruit weight. The "Comune", "SRA 63" and "Nules" cultivars showed the lowest peel thickness. Best juice percentage was obtained from "SRA 63" and "Fedele" cultivars. Best content of soluble total solids was obtained from the "Nules" cultivar.

Otto cultivar di clementine sono state confrontate. Lo scopo di questo studio era di determinare l'adattabilità di nuove cultivar alle condizioni agronomiche e climatiche del sud d'Italia. Il campo sperimentale era ubicato in provincia di Taranto, in Puglia. I frutti sono stati raccolti alla fine di dicembre. Le caratteristiche morfologiche e qualitative sono state misurate in laboratorio. Differenze significative tra le cultivar sono state osservate in entrambe le caratteristiche. Le cultivar "Grosso Puglia" e "Nules" hanno mostrato le più alte dimensioni dei frutti. Le varietà "Grosso Puglia" e "Oroval" hanno presentato il più elevato peso dei frutti. Le varietà "Comune", "SRA 63" e "Nules" hanno mostrato il più basso spessore della buccia. La migliore percentuale in succo è stata ottenuta dalle cultivar "SRA 63" e "Fedele". Il miglior contenuto in solidi solubili totali è stato ottenuto dalla cultivar "Nules".
